School Pictures

At the end of September, Nathan and Andrew had school pictures taken which serve as a reminder for how big both boys are getting. I finally ordered prints so heads up family: pictures will be arriving in your mail sometime this Thanksgiving/Christmas season. Nathan - Hawk Andrew - Duckling

Andrew's 2nd Birthday

There are so many reasons to love October and kicking off the month with two birthdays (Andrew's and Aunt Jenn's) is one of them! This September was a particularly busy month in our house, and unfortunately, it didn't leave too much extra time for planning a celebration. Fortunately, Andrew's tastes are simple: hot dogs. In the week leading up to his birthday, Andrew would tell everyone multiple times that he was going to be two (by holding both index fingers next to his chin) and that he wanted hot dogs. Done. So, Friday night, on Andrew's birthday, we had hot dogs for dinner. Saturday we celebrated a little more with the arrival of Grandma and Grandpa Davolt from Boise, as well as Grandpa Murray, Sherry, and Uncle Dennis from Seattle. Flashback: SF, CA

Our blog posts are far and few between with the demands of two young children. Knowing I need to write one up for Andrew's recent birthday, I logged in to Blogger to discover that this one was sitting in my drafts folder. Evidently, I loaded all the pictures and forgot to come back to write it up. So, let's get to it! Don't worry...a post about Andrew's birthday will come...someday.  For my 34th birthday, Jeff surprised me with an airline ticket to visit one of my dearest friends from childhood, Meg, currently living in San Francisco. Meg left the West coast after high school graduation and I was fortunate to visit her twice while at Notre Dame. After college, she spent various periods of time in Tennessee, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia before heading West again.
