Little Record Breaker

4.5 Months I had an appointment with my OB, Dr. Williams, this week and it was the first time I've seen her since Nathan's birth as she had her own little boy, Jacob, a week after Nathan was born. We were catching up on our new lives when naturally I mentioned Nate's size. She asked which pediatrician we were using and I said the Dr. Chrissie Ott, the one Dr. Williams had recommended. She then exclaimed, "I know who the record breaker is!". Dr. Williams is taking her son to the same pediatrician and evidently at her son Jacob's four month appointment, Dr. Ott had said that while Jacob was growing well (a mere 14 pounds), that another patient was setting records for her practice. Of course, I laughed and called Jeff who laughed as well. Getting comfortable at nap time. The clothes that fit Nathan now are more kid like and less baby like.

It's time to "fall" in love!

Old Market District, Omaha Last weekend, we braved another airplane journey with Nathan to attend the wedding of my cousin Scott and his beautiful bride Sarah. We were honored to be invited and without hesitation, made arrangements with my dad to attend. It was so nice to see my Aunt Ruth, Uncle Duncan and the Murray cousins. I only wish we could have stayed in town longer to catch up with the family and get to know the newest Murray. Given the distance between Omaha and Seattle, we haven't been able to spend a ton of time with each other, but I have never felt that distance when Aunt Ruth is around. Her warmth and passion for family abounds and when we are together, I feel like we have never been apart. She is generous and supportive beyond belief. For reasons I cannot explain, I always become emotional when we are together and usually leave at least one conversation in tears (but always happy ones). Before the wedding on Saturday, we ventured down to the Old Market District

Four Months Old

I can hardly believe how quickly the last few months have gone by, even though everyone warned us that this would be the case. We continue to feel blessed that Nathan is in our lives and love watching him grow. And grow he does! Nathan's four month well-child check up was this past Wednesday. As expected, Dr. Chrissie was again surprised by his overall size.  He measured 26 inches in length (75% again) and his head measured 75% as well. Nathan hit my estimate for weight, coming in at 21 pounds 14 ounces! We have heard from so many friends who have one or two-year olds that size but we are thankful that Nathan is happy and healthy. Even Dr. Chrissie said she wasn't worried about his size, given that it's balanced in length and height, and that Jeff's size probably has something to contribute. :) Dr. Chrissie did give us permission to start introducing rice cereal which means he is growing up so fast! We gave it a quick try this morning, but Nathan didn't
